Full-Stack Engineer - IRIS incident-response platform

Sole engineer rebuilding the frontend of IRIS, an open-source incident-response platform used daily by security analysts, delivered incrementally so the platform stayed in live operation throughout.

  • Inherited a failed rewrite attempt and, against the recommendation to scrap and restart, chose an incremental section-by-section rebuild that kept the product shippable at every step.
  • Sequenced the work auth-first - the riskiest seam - delivering local (session then token-based), LDAP, and combined flows with MFA before moving through the rest of the application.
  • Extended into backend API work (Python/Flask), platform hardening, and containerised deployment without compromising the stability or security of the production version.

Frontend Lead - Kepler360 / Lukka Global (acquired Aug 2022)

Early engineer on Venato, a platform that indexed the Ethereum blockchain and computed profit-and-loss analytics for crypto portfolios. Grew and led the frontend team from five to eight engineers, through the acquisition by Lukka and the full rewrite of the product that followed.

  • Led the rewrite of the Venato analytics frontend from Angular to Next.js, executed as a clean replacement of the presentation layer behind a frozen API - no disruption to institutional customers.
  • Architected and built the original Angular application - dashboards, PNL curves over time, and transaction histories over dense on-chain data (thousands of transactions per wallet, multiple wallets per portfolio).
  • Continued building the acquired product and company platforms for internal and external clients, including US government customers; also lead dApp engineer on the FODL DeFi project.

  • Stepped up to lead the frontend team when the head of frontend departed; ran hiring and day-to-day team leadership.
  • Architected and scaffolded the frontend of Bookteq, the company's B2B venue-booking SaaS, from zero - core booking calendar and venue management, fully responsive. Bookteq is still live today, serving hundreds of venues across the UK and Ireland.

  • Software Developer - Saffron Digital, Jan 2008 – Feb 2015. Wrote the most complex parts of the video platform behind Samsung Media Hub and, later, KDDI's VOD services in Japan. Repurposed to run HTC Play Store, the platform led to the company's acquisition by HTC for $48m in 2011.
